Two lesbian nurses, Moving to MT....
My girlfriend and I are moving back to MT and we will both be nurses by the time we get there. I was wondering, since I haven't been home in a while, what the demand for nursing jobs is in the flathead valley area. Anyone who knows this, please feel free to answer. I lived in MT 12 years of my life(Im only 22) so please do not try to tell me things that I know are not true. Thanks!

From what I can tell, the demand is high here like other parts of the country. I noticed, when looking for apartments, the classifieds from Kalispell were full of positions. I am pretty sure the local paper here in Polson had a couple openings this last week as well. Since you have already lived here, you don't need to be told that there might be a difference in pay for a job here versus some other state or big city. But, you also know the pay differential is worth it sometimes.

I was going to comment, but on second thought, the quote sort of says it all. I can really add nothing to that statement!

We need good nurses, but I have to ask...
Why do you have to announce that you are lesbians? What difference does that make?

This is what I wanted to know. I don't want to know someone's sexual preference. As long as someone takes good care of me when I'm sick, I could careless if they sleep with a donkey.

Maybe adding in her sexuality was her way of getting a preview of the type of reaction her and her girlfriend would receive once they got here?

Knowing what to expect is half the battle in life. Good luck ladies, hope all works out good. If not, come on over to Wisconsin, we can use good nurses too, especially lesbians. Help us even it out a little.
