Columbia Falls bars / weather for 2008
Hi again! I hope I'm not being a pain, but can any of you help me with the following questions please? Many, many thanks in advance.
1) Are there any bars in Columbia Falls and do they ever have live music?
2) Does anyone know where I can get a set of weather temps for 2008 please? Or if not daily temperatures, then an idea of what the weather was like month by month for May, June, July, August, September and October.
Hope this isn't too much of a pain in the b!
Kindest regards.

The only bar in Columbia Falls that I used to patronize is gone now. (the Paul Bunyan).
However, the Blue Moon, which is NEAR Columbia Falls, used to have quite good local bands Friday and Saturday nights. The last time I was through there, it was still there, but I don't know about the music now.
The Ol' River Bridge Inn (that used to be Rex's Nite Club) at Columbia Heights used to have live music, again, I don't know about now.
The National Weather Service might have a website where you could find the average temps for the months you want. The reporting site would probably be Glacier Park International Airport at Kalispell.

Start here: National Maps - NOAA's National Weather Service
There's tons of info including long-term and historic observations, but you'll have to root thru the site to find it -- I don't recall offhand how to get to it

The Blue Moon still has live music as does the Bandit from time to time. There are 3 bars in downtown C-Falls plus the Blue Moon at the corner of hwy 2 and 40 not to mention some small casino bars.

Columbia Falls received over 250cm of snow last winter. Bet London hasn't received that much snow over the entire past century

I seldom patronized the downtown C-falls bars. I don't know why, just seldom went there, except for the bowling alley.

I grew up in that area and I am back there all the time. As for bars the bandit is newly revampt but it is a really sleezy bar. Sometimes live crapy bands but mostly just overly loud played out crap. The bule moon is pretty funny with the karokee and they do have live music mostly country though. If you want to try some bars out check out the canyon (hungry horse) the dam town is an all time favorite they make the best drinks! Also in Martin city just past hh there is about 4 other bars without driving too far, all pretty good. Whitefish has some of the best for younge people I don't think they have live music too ofter though. The paul bunyan hasn't been there for years and same for the Ol river bridge.
As for the weather there is a saying around that area "if you don't like the weather just wait awhile." The weather changes all the time from snow in aug to beautifly sunny days in the winter. July Aug Sept are the hotest. And if you can imagine all the other months are the same as they call it. Spring/fall damp and winter has lots of snow. Hope this helps
