My friend and i are looking to rent a cabin somewhere in Montana this summer, but where? We want to be secluded; close to mnt. biking trails, and kayaking spots. The problem is that we're finding rates for cabins to be expensive. Can anyone suggest what location we should start looking in and how we should go about our search for that great little cabin escape?

Contact the national regional forest service offices such as Lewis and Clark, Beaverhead, Gallatin, (Google them) and take your pick. Do it early though. Usually a bout $45-$60 per night if you can find them.

Well at least they left the clue about Mill Creek and Bed and Breakfast. Google and it shall be found.
The kayaking part would be done at Georgetown lake or some other alpine lakes maybe
