Default midwesterner looking to relocate

Hello all, I am currently living in Wisconsin and am thinking of relocating to Montana. I have visited a few times and like so many others, have fallen for the big sky country. I was born in Upper Michigan where 300 plus inches of snow is not unheard of so the winters dont scare me much. I am 44 yrs old and single, no kids, so have no one to support at this point. I have worked in the printing buisness for 19 years so I will be looking for a job in that buisness when I move. I know the economy is horrible right now and I dont have much savings so this will be a struggle but I can live on almost nothing as my lifestyle has always been meager. I was wondering if any locals can help me with where some bigger printing companys may be located in the state. I have only been to Billings so far and thought that it was a very cool city, lots of friendly ppl compaired to here. By the way, I of course am a fisherman so if I could be close to some of the better rivers it would be a big plus for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know this is going to be hard but I have been dreaming of moving to Mt for years so I am determined.

I would start by calling the newspapers in various towns. I know our towns paper isn't printed here, it's printed in a neighboring town. Have you thought about starting your own printing business.

If I were you, I would check out the Missoula area. I have a place in the Bitterroot Valley, just south of Missoula, and the fishing and out door recreation is fantastic. Missoula is a big enough town that might offer you some opportunities. It is also a college town (University of Montana is there). Good luck!

Just pack your duffle bag and come on up right now! This is the best weather we've had in more than a decade. Look at Internet Public Library: newspaper section for all the newspapers you want to check out. Most are online these days.
