Default My brother in Columbia Falls

I have to brag a bit! My brother, who has been the editor of the Hungry Horse News in Columia Falls for just 2 years, was just named "citizen of the year" by the Lions Club there. He was so shocked! He was new to town and just jumped right in to doing things in the community. He became involved in tons of things and was very well accepted there. I just wanted those of you who are considering moving to NW Montana that the people of C. Falls seem very open to "outsiders" moving there. Seems to be a very nice community! Beautiful up there, too!

We moved from southern California to western Montana about 12 years ago and every one was very nice and friendly to us, also we made more friends right away than we really even wanted ! We did not show up with bags of California money. We only had 2k total wealth when we came to Montana and were down to less than 100 bucks when I finally started getting some work from a temp labor service. It was a bit scary but we did manage to root ourselves here and I think that this state would have chewed us up and spit us back to California if it wasn't for the kindness and generosity of the folks here. Congratulations to your bro.
We have a nick name for Columbia falls, we affectionately call the town Clumsy Balls.
