I have two types of arthritis and sometimes need a cane. The winter Cold kills my back and I think you would have a rough time in Montana. If you are determined to live here I would suggest Johns Trailer Park in Hot Springs. You could be a block from the hot mineral soaking tubs and Johns is a small no frills lot with hookups and he is not expensive. Hot Springs also has two senior centers (one town and one tribal) for cheap lunches etc and anyone can go to either (or both). Being on the Rez the utility bills seem to be a bit lower too. The Flathead reservation is about 72% white. Here is the info for you. Johns Park - 401 Spring Street Hot Springs 58945 - Phone number is 406-741-5770
The first picture below is of the main business block of Hot Springs after one winter weather system passed through.
The second picture is of my rig here where I live in Conrad after one winter storm passed through and we aren't even in the mountains ! It took me over an hour to shovel out my rig to go shopping and it took me a half hour to shovel my way from my door to the rig. Walking through the drifts may be tough for you.
