Default Any suggestions when visiting Missoula?

We're visiting Missoula in early October for one night. -Driving from Spokane, Wa. I've never visited Montana, basically we're there to sight see yet, not wanting to hike etc.
Does anyone have suggestions on where to stay or where to dine? Preferring to dine in a restaurant that's not a chain & that you'd only find in Missoula Mt.

Thank you
Kimmy

Hello, here is one that I have heard good things about. Maybe you can search more from the site, anyway here is a little bump.
Enjoy!

Missoula has many good resturants; our favorite is "The Keep" high in the South Hills with a good view of the city lights. But there are others, "The Depot", "Redbird" "Pearl" come to mind. Visit the University of Montana campus, one of the prettiest in the nation. The Montana Museum of Art and Culture (on campus) is small but nice; the Missoula Art Museum (downtown) is a must see as well as two museums at old Fort Missoula. The Doubletree is a well-located place to stay with a fine resturant.

Edit: I almost forgot: visit the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation!

Have a good visit!
