A fun project that's a lot cheaper than a cannon!

I'm wondering what MT's atmospheric and upper-level wind conditions might do for or against such a project.

That looks like great fun! I actually have a model rocket that has a camera and a switch in it that snaps a ground shot when the nose cone is ejected and falls downward.

I also have a DF setup that I can use to use in an airplane to track the device for recovery if it were fit with a radio beacon for tracking.

If you (Reziac) or anyone else is interested in this kind of thing, I'd offer any help I can give to do some experiments around here. Sounds like great fun!!
