I am a former Montanan and I never thought I'd say this, but I miss it! I moved back to Phoenix a couple years ago and I so miss the small town feel of Ronan. I wish everyone luck who is just moving there. You'll love it! (And I'm jealous)...

Hi everyone!
We might possibly be moving to Sidney, MT. I really don't know what to expect! Any help would be appreciated!

We are new to Ronan, and you are right, the people are wonderful. If you change your mind, there's still room for you back here. I'll even split a pizza with you at Bert's Pizza Cafe!

Spent a couple of days there a while back and was delighted by the theater -- it looks the same as it did when it was new in 1930-something. All art deco, huge screen; just great. A nice little town.

I just moved to Trout Creek (~20 from Thompson Falls) last spring. Thompson is a nice town, kind of like a ski town minus the yuppies. From what I've experienced last spring and what my uncle here in TC tells me, winters here aren't bad. The real problem is the rain, there's lots of it in the winter. Summers are good too, not too hot or humid. Usually there will be a couple weeks up upper 90s in the summer, and when it rains in the summer it is nice because the storms don't usually get too severe. All along the Clark Fork River is kind of interesting because it is mountainous, but the elevation is relatively low. All in all, Thompson Falls is a nice town, pretty quiet.

I wished we had gone to Thompson Falls in the 90's when we moved upstream from Wyoming. It's a much prettier area, with more to do. Better fishing and hunting.
