Navymanretired is on a distinguished road
Default Navyman looking to retire to Montana

My wife and I have been doing a lot of research in Montana and I think I have narrowed it down to Helena or Missoula. Any tips on a soon to be Vet finding any work in those towns or even starting a business. Not looking for the Million, just a great place to raise my 3 boys. Schools are important. Boys ages are 10, 8, 2. Thanks in advance

Congrats on your retirement. I'm ex-Navy. ST. Figured I'd stick around while it was fun. After 18 years it wasn't so fun so I come home.

Welcome to the Montana Forum. You'll get a lot of great advice here.

And Sir. Thank you for your service.

Welcome Aboard from another old Squid!!

Quick response, check out Helena. The VA is at Fort Harrison, Stable economy, all services, and you can find some more reasonablely priced houses especially in the outlying towns. ( Houses in Helena city limits are high, but the TAXES are MURDER)

Lots of vets and vet activities.

Missoula is about like living in Seattle. Lots of fruits and nuts

Enjoy the Shore Leave!!!
