I am planning on going to MT next summer. My main reason is I want to move to either WY or MT in two years. What are some great smaller towns I should visit. Something between 5000-15000 people. I am a teacher so it will have to be somewehre that would be easier to get a job.I am a single mom so I need kids friendly places. I am from Texas in the DFW area and will be driving. Are there any must see places I should visit for fun why I am there. Thanks for the help.

jenndun,

You can look here and possibly narrow it down some. This is the listing for towns in Montana with greater then 6000, along with population and a map. If you scroll down the page you'll find a link for towns under 6000 people.

This way you can kind of figure out if you'd like mountains, close to interstate, close to larger towns for major shopping, etc...

Welcome to the Montana Forum.

By the way, there are a bazillion (yes, that is a number) things to do and see. Once you figure out where, then the people here can make recommendation on day trips or weekend trips for things in your area.

How many children and what are the ages? Wouldn't want to send you into bear country with a 3 year old to keep track of.
