A little birdy has whispered in my ear that a gang I won't name on this forum is operating a legal M.M. dispensary in the Flathead Valley and I won't say exactly where either. All one has to do is google them all up and walk into a few and you will eventually walk into the one I'm talking about. If one knows gangstas one will know that the operation is a gang run operation. Despite the recent intrusion by these types into Montana the Flathead Valley area is still a great place but won't be for too much longer because despite the economic slowdown the growth has not been kiboshed, it has just slowed down a little. Snufsaid bout gangstas, it isn't bad yet.
If I could afford to buy a new ticky-tacky in a subdivision in the valley I would, --- V

To rent out ! I need to be in the sticks.

No, I don't live IN Billings (I used to, but I got smart and moved out of town).
But, I DO read the newspaper, and watch the local news on tv. YES, there ARE gangs in Billings. Yes, there ARE parts of town that I avoid.
Wake up redhead, your town isn't as "nice" as you seem to think it is!

Hey there from a fourth generation Montanan! Its true "outsiders" are not very welcome in Montana in general, though I may exclude Missoula and downtown Kalispell from that generalization. The reason being is that in all innocence (though some might more accurately call it ignorance) people bring their own cultural and lifestyle expectations and values to a community that will likely collide with those values. For example, building a fence on you acreage seems benign to a newcomer. However that and other ways outsiders value and use their landscape could and often are in direct conflict with local values. If you don't know what I am talking about ... and you still want to move to Kalispell, make sure you are a very good neighbor and listen to how people have historically used your prospective land. All that is required out there is good communication, a skill that many people who move there do not have.

We moved to the Flathead Valley 13 years ago from the East. We have all the usual Big Box stores, a cinema with 12 theatres, lots to do in the summer - water sports, hiking, etc and skiing in winter. Beautiful place to be.
You owe it to yourself to come and check it out.
