Thanks Jamie

Average $300-$350 per room in the town of Bozeman. Are you guys looking in Bozeman or somewhere else? Livingston is considerably cheaper, but once again, the wind is stroooooooong there. You can find a home for rent in Bozeman anywhere between $900-$1200 depending on where and how much space you need.

I have a 3 bed for rent for $900 which is open if you are interested. It is near the Gallagator trail and near the library, as well as close to downtown and MSU. Prices on rentals have dropped a bit here, but not so bad. The market was flooded with cheap condos up near I-90 and the college kids who stick around in the summer tend to migrate to that area of town when school gets out.

As for work... Well let me say I did remodels in town here, and made a killing a few years ago, but nowadays, I had to switch tactics, and manage properties, and do whatever it takes to keep food on the table, since there just isn't work for a contractor or home remodeler. Good luck.

Are you planning on purchasing a house since you just sold yours? The market is forecasted to go up in 2010, and 2011 here in Montana, but we all know how real estate forecasts go...

Belgrade and Whitehall are also between Livingston and Butte, and both are affordable.

Thanks for the info,, we're looking to go between Livingston & Butte. Somewhere around that area. Living in Bozeman before, and knowing the area we will have that to fall back on. I'll pass on the stroooong winds in Livingston. We lived in Wisconsin for 7 years, So can handle the cold. 3 more weeks and we're Montana bound.. hip hip horray..

Hello,
I am new to this site. Hoping someone can tell me about Sweetgrass, MT. Considering doing business in Sweetgrass. I am a Canadian citizen. Is Sweetgrass, MT worth checking out?
Anyone with any information would be appreciated.
Thanks!

There is a Sweet Grass county, but I can't find a town with that name. If there is, it isn't very large; in fact, it would be very small. The county by that name isn't very populated, either. Don't know what type of business you intend to open, but it would have to be something that doesn't depend on much traffic or population in the area.

The only business going on in Sweet Grass would have to do with brokers or other things like the importing of beef products or live animals. There is one bar in town and a gas station.

What kind of business are you looking to do?

Sweet Grass is on the border of MT/CA where I-15 ends.

The biggest thing going on there is the Port of Entry:
