Leaving Thursday morning, plan to be in Helena Saturday.

Turned down a job in Denver the other day. I don't think it would've been a good fit. The truck points north.

I quit chewing, so no streaks on the truck. I do have some pretty impressive bird droppings on the door and cap though... Rifles are a given. I've got a few

According to a veterinarian who used to live in Kalispell, gophers make great barbecue.

It's essentially a grain-fed red meat, not too far from rabbit (another rodent), so I expect he's right. I can attest that roast mouse is good (tastes like prime beef) ... at least roast gopher might have more than half a mouthful!

about any kind of roadkill is good, the hot sun makes the meat tender. People need to be less picky about this kinda thing, there's a lot a good eats going to waste.

I've had ground hog before. A little oily but not too bad. I didn't make it a regular game animal though.

No way man.. Ever watch the little bastards eat each other when you shoot one? Nasty little things.. I like to shoot em and watch the hawks come and grab them and take off with em in their talons.

Snowdreamer, you may be interested in visiting a little place south of Big Timber. The town is named McLeod, but their main business is a little place called the Road Kill Cafe.
