That issue is not unique to the Montana board, it is a forum wide issue and no big deal. Folks simply Google something up and a CD Forum post comes up on the search results page, it gets read and then the person feels the need to respond and joins to do just that. What they fail to do is notice how old the post is when joining up and replying.
This post will most likely be moved to the "About the forum" board as this subject and this issue has nothing really to do with Montana, so don't be surprised when it gets moved.

What rickers said. And I don't have a problem with old threads, myself. Resurrecting one often saves a lot of repetition, and makes a bunch of info that was buried suddenly easy to find again.

No, no problem here, I just find it funny to see one that is a couple of years old about someone moving here and some nice person tries to help them without noticing the age on the thread

I try and keep them cleaned up and delete a new post with the reason "Thread is old, start a new thread." Specially if a person has asked a question and not come back in a long time. But, if the person is still on the forum and still visits, I'll let some of the slide.
I've deleted 3 or 4 a week every since I became a Moderator. So often time I'll delete it and you'll never see it. But some times I miss a few.
