Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about either Helena High School or Capital High School. I am trying to decide which one is better. Moving up to Helena in July and renting somewhere. My family is their and I want to be near them. Scared to death because we dont' have jobs yet. I am crazy but need to be near family and the Mountains.

Thank You

Both are your typical government run, left leaning breeding grounds for future Dem voters. Capital typically has better sports programs, but both will have their share of the usual issues.

thank you. I know how that goes. Where I am at now the kids just light eachother on fire or knife eachother. Can't be worse than that.

I have taught in both high schools, and I would take Helena High over Helena capital ANY DAY. For the most part, the kids at Capital are rude, ignorant, and lack any respect for teachers. On the other hand, the HHS students are respectful. Athletic programs do make schools.

It depends on where you live. East Helena and up to downtown attend HHS. The rest of the city attends CHS.

I went to HHS because of where I lived.

Do you think it's the discipline of the athletic program that makes the difference, or the discipline of the entire school? I'd think it'd be the latter, even if it's most obvious on the field.
