Hey guys/gals,

As a kick off celebration for our new forum I'd like to contribute with a new photo thread of Monterey County including of course the beautiful Big Sur Coastline! If you have photos of the area please add them, don't be shy. I'll start off with a few.

here are a few from today which was a beautiful Summer day. We've had a cruise ship parked in the Bay these past few days:

The 4th of July started out a bit cloudy then cleared to a nice, sunny morning. I took a run on the beach then grabbed a few shots while there.

OMG!! These pics are sooooooo beautiful that they seem unreal! They seem like postcards not something that a normal person could take a picture of. Thank you so much for sharing. I've been through the area a couple of times but never have had the opportunity to spend time there. It's on my list to do hopefully do sooner or later. Thanks again.

Mind blowing!!!!!! That whole coastline is my favorite part of the world....I love it. The first time I saw Big Sur, it was getting dark and the stars were out. We were on our way to San Francisco from Los Angeles and decided to leave Frisco until the following day.

I always dreamed of moving there but never did...the closest I got to was Santa Barbara.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Its Winter time in Monterey and Big Sur. This is one of my favorite seasons for scenic beauty and nature photography. The varied weather and storms kick up the waves showing its beautful, poweful and untamed side.
