Has anyone ever gone basckto ask for more after signing an offer letter?
The timing was a bit bad but I got offered a 2ndjob a day after signing an offer at company A.
The morals of it seem a bit off but realistically it's stilll another offer same as if you were leaving your current job and most would negotiate that or leave.
Problem is that I'd rather work for company A but at the salary of company B.

This happened like 1 day after signing, I guess I should have awaited longer!

I'd think the first company who you signed an offer letter to accept their offered salary might think that your now requiring more money might be taken as a personality negative and withdraw their offer to employ you.

Or they might say we don't want to lose him to the other company.
I wouldn't word it as give me more but they'd get the point.
Difficult one...

Hi qwertyjjj,

did you use a recruitment agency to get the job or through networking?

Had you negotiated your offer at the first place you'd know you got as much as they're willing to give you. Based on the fact you even have to ask, I'm assuming you didn't negotiate. At this point it depends on your relationship with them - if you feel they really want you and you can bring it up the right way, go for renegotiating.

I can sympathize with you, but I really get the sense it's your fault for not negotiating the first offer.

Yeah I did and got to what they said was their final offer...(I already increased the salary and vacation by asking) but final offers change when another company offers you more... because a competing offer now has to be considered.
Eg salary might remain but they can offer signing bonuses
