Art schools in Montreal (teaching, classes, offer)

I'm interested in taking drawing and painting classes in Montreal. I've found two art schools that seem to offer the kind of classes I'm looking for: Griffintown Art School and Visual Arts Centre. Can anyone comment on either of these schools or suggest other schools?

Academie des beaux arts Académie des Beaux-Arts de Montréal - good small school in Rosemont area. My daughter has gone there for a year, but we are planning to explore the Griffintown one next, it's a bit closer to us.

Academie des beaux arts claims to use old European methods of teaching.
