I'm an Italian-American from NYC looking to possibly begin the process of relocating to Montreal, Quebec.
Elementary understanding of French. Solid Italian and English Skills.
Work in IT, age 27 (single, no kids), completed Bachelors degree along with a few industry certifications.
Looking for a change and life away from NYC without making the leap across the pond to Europe. In NYC & to a lesser extent America, it seems that life is solely about working and your job defining you. And I'm looking for a proper balance (and not working two jobs through my 20's when I should be able to be out enjoying myself and meeting new people).
Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
As an Italian myself (who is also from St. Leo) this place is great for QOL. Lots of parks, Italian cafes and restaurants. The area has gotten much more multicultural as well in the past couple of years. St. Leo isn't my favourite area in Montreal, especially for under 30 and single but regardless, it's still a good area.
