A team of students from West Virginia University finished third recently in the Lunabotics Competition held by NASA at Cape Canaveral, Florida. First place was awarded to Laurentian University (Sudbury, Canada), and second was taken by the University of North Dakota. Competing were student groups from 46 colleges and universities (34 domestic and 12 foreign).

The winning team collected 523.8 lbs of material (simulated lunar dirt, rocks, and dust) during the five day event.
