MORGANTOWN, W.Va., Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Students at West Virginia University who engage in the traditional couch-burnings to celebrate big football games could face arson charges, officials say.

Morgantown officials say they have decided this year to use the state fire code, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Yeah, I think that sort of celebration is a little over the top, but I don't agree with felony charges for burning an old couch, especially for a first offense.

I had a couple of old couches that I was saving as a fraternity donation....I'll give them to the Goodwill instead.

With the present mind set of the WVU cops, I would be an accessory to a felonious act and could get prison time.....(and kicked out of school, if I was enrolled).

Does anybody have a Politically Correct Manual on what can be done in college now...aside from booze, sex and drugs?
