The Big East was the premier Basketball conference, but at this point I am going to say this title is going to the ACC, especially if WVU leaves.

Let's face it the Big E was finished and WVU needed to leave. The best match was the ACC. The schools are close and it has our traditional rivals. Unfortunately the ACC doesnt want, or need, WVU.

The Big 12 isnt a bad match for WVU it is just far to travel, but will make for some great football. In basketball it will be a minor step down, but if they brought in Lville I think it would be comparable.

But will the Big East merge with the Mountain West and Conference USA? In a way I hope so since then I might get to see a West Virginia school play in Las Vegas. But I doubt it would be good for WVU.

Congrats to you all . Now all I can do is wait and see what happens with my beloved Cardinals.

Extra extra read all about it. Louisville beats Syracuse. We will beat them tomorow. At least I think we will and so do the odds makers.

Or maybe July of 2014, if you believe the Big East Commissioner. It's that darn 27 month clause.

Why do I sense impending lawsuits, much acrimony in the newspapers, and an ultimate agreement facilitated by the transfer of large sums of money?

This works out well, actually. WVU can take the money they got from Rich Rodriguez for prematurely ending his contract and give it to the Big East for prematurely ending their contract. It's hand meet glove.
