In the near future, the Pittsburgh Opera will begin having performances in Morgantown as does the Pittsburgh Symphony. OLLI sponsors bus trips from WVU to Opera performances not in Morgantown, and helps insure seniors have access those that will be taking place here. In addition, they have regular classes taught be retired faculty members for senior citizens

This past week, for example, there was a workship on singing harmony taught by Dr. Hicks, a retired foresty professior and accomplished musician. Next week there are two classes on the Battle of Blair Mountain, and they have numerous other activities like those mentioned above. Fairmont State and Pierpont Community College also offer lifelong learning activities for area residents, so opportunities abound in our area for seniors to stay engauged in learning and to have interesting interactive activities with others at a minimal cost.
