Gold Blue Game 2012
Went to the Gold/Blue Game today, was wet but fun. Did anyone else go, and what did you thing of the team. The Offense was ok, but I saw so mooments of pure talent. D was good, and liked some of the new players.

I was there. That offense, which had second teamers out there as much as first teamers, was up against a defense that they play against every day so they know their play calls and so forth. This offense is going to be spectacular by the time the season rolls around, and the defense is certainly better than I had anticipated.
I'm trying to find an attendance figure but can't find one. It appeared to me that at least 10,000 were there on a cold, wet night but it would be nice to get the actual figure.

I'd say that would be about right. I had a couple of friends with me that are hardcore Alabama Fans, and they said that their spring game is a 90,000 people kinda event. Maybe in 20 years we can do that.
On another note, took them on the PRT along with a few others that had never been on it. I'd say they enjoyed it.

Honestly, I dont see the appeal of the game.
It is WVU vs WVU. The coaches and players dont want to do it, since there is a risk of injury. It is just some stupid show for the fans, but it is half hearted.

Only Big 12 school to have its Spring Game televised. I doubt the coaching staff was showing much. Also, I saw a quote of one of the players on defense saying something to the effect that they could tell what was coming at them 75% of the time.
I don't read much into any scrimmage that is this "public".
