We drove by the Fishbowl twice while looking for it. The third time my WVU bound son was using his iPhone to find it and I didn't believe him when he said we were there. LOL.
Maxwells we stumbled on, and my younger son thought I was crazy telling him to go down the stairs to the place, but once in he fell in love.
I'll have to try the brunch next time.

It is hard to get a table for brunch. During the summer it might be easier, but people really love the brunch.
Next time check out Black Bear, Brew Pub, Blue Moose, and the other brewery (Mountain peoples?). Gibbies is also cool, although the food is mediocre.
Did someone tell you about fishbowl?

The Fishbowl was always mentioned as a favorite by the WVU alums that we talked to.

The Fishbowl has real, authentic college hangout character. It's more for alums these days since the idiots in government have tried to impose prohibition on young adults and have ended up merely driving the drinking to street parties and giving young people needless police records at an early age.

Since when did the drinking age matter in Morgantown? Surely didn't when I attended in the early to mid 2000's except for a select few bars, who enforced it more as a favor to older students who didn't want to have to deal with kids.

It doesn't matter here, or virtually anywhere for that matter. But, half the arrests that take place are for "underage drinking" by young adults. They are issued tickets and end up paying hundreds of dollars in fines.
