I'm surprised they built one so close to the existing one off I-79, which I assume is in Granville?

But now atleast the hotels in Star City have a 24-hour service station close by.

I would like to see Fairmont get a Sheetz. Fairmont always seems to get bypassed when stores move in, or they don't get them until years later. Even little old Clarksburg is adding a Sheetz on the southern side of the city.

This Sheetz is less than 1/2 mile from the existing one but it is on the opposite side of the highway. They feel that traffic is so heavy on that road that it warrants one on each side.

Surprised Fairmont does not have a Sheetz... even Parsons has one.

Is that where long johns used to be?

It's like 3 feet from the old one. Nothing ever makes sense in Morgantown, eh?

It makes perfect sense. It is on the east side of Mon Blvd. The other one is about 1/4 mile north of that on the west side. That is a very heavily traveled stretch of road, so it eliminates having to cross it twice for use from one direction. In addition, the other one was already used basically to capacity (always overcrowded), and this will alleviate some of the pressure on it.

The area would easily support another one on University Ave. as well. There are gas stations on the west side of that thoroughfare, but none on the east side. It would be a natural if they were to open one there.

Sheetz has told me that after a location is secure (which looks like it is going to be off of Exit 132 on the hillside), they will build and hopefully be done within a year for the Fairmont store.
