I don't know about American Bald Eagles elsewhere in our state, but we have nesting eagles at Cheat Lake, who have become well established. I'm seeing more and more photos of them, like this one.
I think you can find em in just about every state nowadays except Hawaii...im no bird watcher to any degree, but I could definitely watch Bald Eagles all day, the reverence is pretty much instilled in all of us....
There are lots of bald eagles down on the South Branch of the Potomac. They have a tourist train in Romney that claims eagles are spotted on 9/10 of all excursions.
Bald Eagles are truly awesome to see in person. When i worked in Charleston i recall seeing one flying over the Kanawha River one day. Apparently, they are frequently spotted around the New River Gorge, along with some Peregrine Falcons.
