Now the other options are calling the Sheriff's office and finding out if there's a way to enter the property to get an appraisal done prior to the sale.
(This was the option we took for a court sale, and it worked out fine, we were able to enter the property, and view it, and have it appraised ahead of time- used hard money)

But, most of the hard money people I know will want to go out and see it. So, that leaves calling a local broker for regular lenders who might lend off a driveby appraisal only (few and far between these days) have them check thoroughly, you don't want to be wasting your time,

and local banks. You can check with them and see if any have any programs just for this purpose. We have one around here that investors use for rehabs that goes off a % of the tax value and not off a full appraisal.
