In my opinion, Lending Tree is just a referral source that different banks and lenders PAY to send you to them. If you are looking for a good, honest, no biased referral why would you go to a stranger just because they advertise on T.V.? Ask you neighbors, friends, mechanic, anyone and everyone who you trust to give you a honest, unbiased opinion of who they have used to get a mortgage. Same thing, better answers and no spam. Seems easy to me.
