Hello, I am getting a refinance on my home. I am in the Phoenix Metro. I was told I could shop for a title company, but no one is willing to give me their rates. This is what the GFE says:
Title – Closing/Escrow Fee $400
Title – Lender's Title Insurance $350
Title–ALTA 5 Endorsement $75
Title–ALTA 8.1 Endorsement $75
Title–ALTA 9 Endorsement $150
Is this high/low/average?
Second question - I have been in my home for less than three years, so my last title policy is still valid and not expired. Would the current title policy holder give me a deal to basically renew it?

You might get a 10-25% reduction if you refi within 4 years of the most recent transaction. Your best bet would be to use the same Title company that did the last transaction, but don't expect much.
