What is ellie mae? (loan, loan, banks, closing)

I just received an email from ellie mae. I am waiting to close any day. I have heard nothing from my bank. I have googled ellie mae but I really can't figure out what it is. Are they trying to sell me a service to keep up with my loan process?

I didn't open the link because I don't know what it is, and I haven't heard anything about ellie mae in connection with my loan until this email arrived.

We are two weeks over due on closing due to realtor screw up and I am stressed to the max, so if this is a stupid question, please take that into consideration.


I forwarded the email to my banker and she will advise me in the morning, but I thought you all might help tonight.

Your email is safe. They process a large amount of mortgages for various brokers, and banks and such, etc.

Then there's also Freddie Mac.... lol. Google is your friend.

thanks mike. This was the first thing I had received without a name I recognized and they said I already had an account, so I was wary.

I did google. Do you want me to tell you where ellie mai clampett is now?

Banker finally got back to me and we are fine. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
