Most of WA state has real estate excise tax of about 1.78%.
In case of a new construction home, is it something that is paid by the seller?

I have a CD for. An upcoming closing Squnomish(sp??) County. The title company that handles all of the builder's closings shows the seller paying all taxes. But lenders routinely show it in their estimate as a CYA.
