I am looking for an online discussion forum specifically dedicated to the operations side of the mortgage process. A venue to ask questions, pose scenarios and troubleshoot problems from the processor/analyst side of things. Does this exist? Can such questions and scenarios be posed here or is this only for the borrower side? If anyone knows I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction and I apologize if this post is ill-advised in any fashion.
I think, here, on CD Motgages there are several peoplev in mortgage banking, appraising and legal that may be able to assist or provide commentary, but even better, the discussions would allow consumers and Realtors a glimpse into your everyday challenges (like names on contract not matching those on loan application). This is an open to the public forum, so any borrowers discussed should be well disguised - all ahem would break loose if someone recognized themselves here. (ie, "I have an 89 yo man" who is really a 22 yo woman).
There are a couple of mortgage banking forums out there - I will send you a message when on computer. One is operations/compliance oriented, but I think membership ($$$) is required.
SmartMoney, thanks so much. I would of course use the utmost discretion and not reveal names, personal information or anything at all that might give away who I am or who/what I'm talking about. With that said I'm going to post my question as a new thread. Thanks again.
