Default Closing Cost

We found the home we wanted at Houston Real Estate - Houston Homes, Houston Home Value and Houston Relocation and do not have real estate agent. The house is $159k and in the contract the seller will pay $6360 of closing cost.

I have not got my approval back from the mortage company yet.

1. How much will my closing cost be for this home.

2. After I sign the contract, can I negioate with the seller to pay more closing cost?

Thank you

Is this property listed on the MLS? If so get your own agent. It won't cost you anything.

$6,360 may actually be too much in seller paids based on what type of loan you are doing. Some loans ony allow 3%. In any case your costs should not exceed this number so you sure shouldn't have to negotiate for more costs unless you are trying to buy the rate down.
