Default Loan took longer than 30 days to close,..normal?

Is it nieve to think that my loan didn't close in 30 days because of the mortgage crises? We strated the process at end of september then the crisis happened. Everything was delayed, we lost our 30 lock.Could it have been delayed to to crises?

why don't you ask your broker what the problem is? some back approvals are taking a week or 2 to get financing from.

There was a lot of people refinancing and buying in the last couple months because of the huge dip in rates and summer was coming to a close. Lenders have pretty much cleared out their backlog of loans and are getting to files much quicker.
