I saw that on Good Morning America yesterday. I just wonder if now that the cat is out of the bad, will mortgage lenders do a better job with keeping up with paperwork going forward?

What is the "note"? Is it the mortgage application that is signed?

I think you can download the forms for free.

It buys you time. But, If they can't find the note, chances are you don't owe the debt.

And it doesn't apply to non-judicial states, like CA.
