Default Do loans under $165k get worse rates?

One of the mortgage calculators I was using had a note that said conventional loans must be above $165k or the same rates may not apply. My price range on a house is up to $200k max with 20% down, which means the loan would be up to $160k max. Would I be better off trying to borrow $165k?

It varies by lender. That being said, in my personal opinion a slightly lower rate is not worth extending beyond what you want to borrow, and it is not worth paying mortgage insurance.
