I have a pre approval from Bank A.
I also spoke to another bank Bank B who say that they can get me a better deal.

So when it is time to apply for a mortgage, can I apply to both of them and then decide to pick one?

This is just in case Bank A doesnt process it in time.
I suspect this may happen because the home loan specialist there seems to be inexperienced and takes too long for replying to my emails or returning my calls regarding some documents that she wanted for the pre approval, then "misplaced" them, then her system crashed.

I tried that but it doesnt seem to work. Both the realtor and lawyer and title company want the lendor information as soon as possible for paperwork so sooner or later you have to pick one. I would get a GFE at least to compare but then I think you have to pick one and hope for the best.
