Also this is the kind of situation which requires face to face contact. On the phone you won't get past the secretary and she does not have authority to bend the rules.

Get all your papers together, make an appointment with the chief loan officer, who very well may be a woman or even the same woman, at several independent banks and go in prepared to present your case. We all get so much more info and are taken more seriously when we make personal contact.

Sounds like building on the land would be a sweet deal... I'd imagine that much land in TN would be nice.
