I liked old movies even when I was a youngster, thanks to my parents influence. I'm glad of that and feel sorry for anyone whose movie experience is limited to "Harry Potters' Avatar steals the Ring from Shrek" type of thing.
But your post reminded me of one contemporary movie experience in 1979. I was 16 and madly in love with Rick Springfield. He had a blink-and-you-miss-it part in the original Battlestar Galactica movie - which I saw 7 times during the school holidays. I guess that's "keep watching once in a while".
