It's sad to see what some people rate as the greatest movies.

For me it is "Lonesome Dove".

Technically it was a mini-series and not an actual movie.

True. Cant blame them though. They failed to understand the question on the thread topic. Instead of chiming in as to what they feel is the BEST MOVIE EVER MADE, they instead mention THEIR PERSONAL FAVORITE MOVIE. Two totally different things.

Heck my favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Master Killer, The Matrix and Harry Potter just to name a few, but I know they are no where near being "Best movies ever made".

People just dont read/understand thats all. Its the nature of the best on internet forums.

Okay. In all seriousness I think the "best movie ever made" was Bridge on the River Kwai."

I should say "Jurassic Park" since I've seen it sooooooooooooooooooo many times, it never gets old. The dinosaurs look real and the story was amazing. I also liked "The Terminator. The first 25- 30 minuets are slow but it kicks off once the fight at the nightclub starts. BTW, Arnold Schwarzenegger played a good role as the villain.

Whatever movie a person thinks was the best made probably is their personal favorite. If not, then it seems to me that they would be saying that this is what they think other people would like best. It's kinda like people pretending to like opera music because they think it makes them seem more sophisticated or intelligent.

The best movie I have seen is "What's Eating Gilbert Grape". It made me both laugh and cry and I thought about it for days after I saw it.
