Henry Cavill is Superman: British 'Tudors' star set to play Man of Steel

Good Choice. Glad to see they are rebooting the franchise. With Nolan overlooking the project, I'm sure it will be done right.

I wonder why they didn't go with the actor from the last movie- he played the part really well in my opinion.

The Smallville actor also has the perfect Superman look.

The problem with Smallville is that it sucks. Has horrible writers and not too good actors. I agree with you that the last actor of the Superman movie should have been playing Superman again. I really liked him. He was big and tall and dark. Like the real Superman(comics, cartoon) was. But oh well.

I liked Henry Cavill in the Tudors, but what's wrong with Brandon Routh? He played his part well and even looked like Christopher.

The guy from Smallville looks too young and the guy from Superman Returns was basically cast because he looked like Chris Reeve. I didn't think he was particularly great. Then again, he didn't have much to work with. I just hope they cast Lois Lane better this time.

Why, even, is there yet another Superman movie? He was a cool hero up until life took on actual reality but really, this guy is getting beat into the ground. Well, if anyone could indeed do that.

I knew it was possible to make a dumb Superman movie (Superman III, IV, V). But I didn't know it was possible to make a completely boring Superman movie, but Superman Returns managed to do just that.

it wasnt that Superman Returns was boring, it was more like a play by play from Superman The Movie. Singer also cutout about 30 mins of footage that could have explained Superman's dissapearance a bit better. But Superman needed a better villian the Luthor but at the time Singer thought he was setting the series up for another 2-3 movies....

I read all the Superman comics when I was a kid. Even watched the black and white series on TV. But. I. Can. Just. NOT. Make it through a Superman movie. Or Batman for that matter. I either fall asleep or go do something else.
