The Mosquito Coast really showcases the raw talent of Harrison Ford. It's a fabulous story of adventure with an incredible cast including Helen Mirren and River Phoenix. Directed by the magnificent Peter Weir and filmed on location in the Jungle. It has all the classic storytelling themes such as Man vs. God and Man vs. Nature. This is probably the most interesting character that Harrison Ford has ever played. I am so glad that my parents introduced me to this film at an early age and it remains to this day one of my absolute favorite films. Please give it another chance, you won't be disappointed.

Brokedown Palace was a good one too.

Another one that was creepy IMO, was The Island of Dr. Moreau (sp?).

I have a few semi favorite films that never ever get any air time( AMC sucks). "The Brass Bottle" with Tony Randall and Burl Ives. " Darby Ogill And the Little People". It's St. Patrick's day and you never see this movie. " The Man Who Would Be King." Just a great fun film with Sean Connery and Michael Caine. "The Island", Michael Caine. "Zulu", Michael Caine again. "Outland", Sean Connery. Did I mention that AMC sucks? I'd just like to see soem of these movies rather than the same old same old same old AMC rehashes over and over and over again.

The bolded above movie titles are in our collection of old movies that even the grandkids grew up with.
How about the "Long Ships" with Richard Widmark and Sidney Poiter?
