In current movies I guess the Media movies fit the criteria..........in the Eighties......all the Nightmare On Elm Street Movies....you get the idea.....movies with multiple sequels.....and recurring characters.

For me my favorite of all time would be: THE THIN MAN Movies and the MA AND PA KETTLE Movies>>>>>>

I really like the Thin Man series too PA. William Powell amd Myrna Loy were quite a team. Very likeable. One of my favorite characters is Jacques Clouseau the bungling French police detective from the Pink Panther series of Comedy Films.I mean you have Peter Sellers, Blake Edwards, and notable theme music by Henry Mancini, a great combination. I like slapstick comedy

One day, Johnny Depp will get large recognition and awards for a most incredible body of work.

That aside, I've always enjoyed the Bourne movies, simply for their well put together action.
