Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz (prefer her in Spanish movies, though), Meryl Streep, Queen Latifah (under-rated), and Angela Bassett.

Favorite actresses of yesteryear: Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, Bette Davis, Marjorie Main.

Of the old film stars I guess Bette Davis. But only in certain films where the director
managed to stop her chewing the scenery. In films like Jezabel and The Letter she is
very good. Later stars like Goldie Hawn I like. I saw her in A Girl In My Soup with Peter
Sellars 40 years ago, and fell in love on the spot!! For sheer beauty you can't beat Liz
Taylor, Sophia Loren and my all time fav Raquel Welch. Some mention Angelina Jolie. I
watched her in a film recently with Johnny Depp were she spent most of the film just
pouting. I studied her face mid pout and tried to think who she reminded me of, then
it came to me - Tony Curtis in drag in Some Like It Hot!!
