WRONG, WRONG and I'll say again......WRONG!! The beginning of Bridesmaids showed nudity and, if fact, that is a reason it was rated "R"!! The American was rated "R" as well! About Schmidt was also rated "R" due to the showing of Kathy Bates boobs during the hot tube scene. Now, that scene was both funny and totally gross!
You, and some of the younger generation may like nudity/sexual scenes in a movie, but us older Baby Boomer don't. Heck, I'll bet there are young folks that go to our church that would feel the same way we do......but then again, they are Christian young folks.

A porno is pretty must explicit sex throught the entire movie. In this movie, there was no nudity. Pornography is any material that is sexually explicit. This does not fit that opening scene. Was it possibly crude? Maybe for some, but not pornographic. The idea of porn is to sexually stimulate or excite the reader/viewer. I can say that the opening scene was hardly stimulating. It was actually pretty amusing. And you're right, you don't have to like it or watch it, but please don't mislabel a clothed "sex scene" that was no where near sexually stimulating, as porn.

Oh gimme a break. You'd be surprised about your "good Christian young folks". Are you with them at all times? DON'T and I'LL SAY AGAIN, DON'T go around labeling people for their likes and dislikes. If a BOOB offends ye, then don't pick up a RATED R MOVIE. You're old enough to know what RATED R means. I don't recall seeing any boobs in the beginning of this movie or any genitalia. You have your beliefs and that's fine but don't think you're all high and mighty and better than anyone else based on your beliefs. Religion has nothing to do with the purpose of this thread.

I don't think being a baby boomer has anything to do with anything. Movies like Last Tango in Paris or Body Heat or 9 1/2 Weeks weren't exactly tame.

And I don't remember Bridesmaids showing nudity, either. Kristin Wiig had a bra on the entire time, I think.

I wouldn't be surprised about those "good Christian young folks".......thats' exactly what most of them are, "good Christian young folks" !!Getting all "high and mighty" about a disgusting movie isn't so bad! Anyway, Christian based movies, like The Blind Side and Soul Surfer are BETTER movies than those kind! Do boobs and genitalia have to be showing when a dude is on top of the girl humping away??? That was in the beginning of the movie. To a lot of folks that would be like watching porn! I asked a girl (21 yr old Christian) who works for the apt complex, and had already told me that she watched part of the movie, and she told me that she seen the first scene and it was shocking to her. She said "it was definitely a sexual scene and close to being like porn" and turned the movie off immediately. She said "didn't want to see what the rest of this gross movie was like". So, guess I wasn't just imagining what I'd saw!
Yes, we made the choice to watch parts of Bridesmaids, rushed thru it! Nudity and foul language, foul language and nudity........geeshhhhhhh, I think I'll stick to watching Gunsmoke, MASH, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, with another BIG !

Older folks, in their 60's and up, don't generally watch movies like this. I'll say it again, absolutely TOO DISGUSTING! Have to admit, we made a very bad choice in a movie to watch.

Yes, we made the choice to watch parts of Bridesmaids, but THANK GOD, rushed thru it! If these type of movies weren't made, we'd more than likely have a better society of people. Nudity and foul language, foul language and nudity........geeshhhhhhh, I think I'll stick to watching Gunsmoke, MASH, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!

I'm not the one bashing or labeling anyone. YOU made the insinuation that the young folk at your church are good Christians. So you're saying that non Christians are bad people? There are Christians out there that do not feel like you do. I'm saying that this thread was about the movie itself, not a question of whether it's porn or not nor is it about anyone's religious beliefs. YOU are calling it porn based on your beliefs. Why would you pick up a movie that is Rated R and think it's going to be "Christian" like? If it were me and I were that offended by it then I wouldn't even have skipped over scenes. I would have just turned it off and not watched it at all. Ahh, Gunsmoke. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Miss Kitty a prostitute? Didn't early episodes show her or one of the girls leading men up to the rooms? And wasn't there violence and alcoholism? Didn't one of the saloon girls cause 4 deaths because she provoked men into fighting over her? Wasn't the main opening scene a shootout?
