I just finished a subtitled movie from 2001 called "As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me." It's one of those incredible survival trek films, with a villain chasing the hero, who is on foot for most of the pursuit, and it's based on a true story:

A prisoner of war named Clemens Forell, a German soldier during WW II, is sentenced to a labor camp in far east Siberia. After four years working in the mines he escapes from the camp (in 1949) and tries to get home to his wife and children in Germany. For three years he journeys through Siberia. An odyssey of 14,000 kilometers, set against a backdrop of desolate and inhospitable landscape, beset by danger (from both animals and humans).

I really get engrossed in this kind of movie (even with subtitles), imagining what I would do in the same situation. Of course, it's also fun to say, "Hey, you screwed up by..." to the character on the screen and pretend I wouldn't have made that mistake.

So I'm looking for other great foot -- not car -- chase movies, or even just endurance wilderness trek movies without a villain in pursuit. The only ones I could think of off the top of my head so far:

The Way Back (very similar)
The Edge
The Fugitive
Last of the Mohicans
Black Robe
The Great Escape

Others?

Would the Bourne movies fit into that category?

Absolutely! Moviegoers tend to fix on those incredible car chase scenes in the Bourne films, but the foot chase in Morocco was equally impressive.

I found this listing of Top Foot Chases in Movies and can't believe I forgot to list:

The Naked Prey
Apocalypto

and...

Casino Royale (incredible opening chase scene)

I thought the foot chase scene in the opening of Casino Royale was totally ridiculous.

Last week I saw the movie District B13 (2004) - IMDb, also listed as #4 in your post of 'Top 10 Foot Chases'.

One of the leads in the movie is David Belle who has developed and is recognized as champion practitioner of Parkour which consists of moving quickly and efficiently in any environment, using only the abilities of the human body.

There are a couple of scenes where Belle is shown tracing. The show was dynamic and entertaining, however I do tire of the relentless pursuits. As much as I like Bourne movies, those chases also become a bit weary.

I couldn't understand a word anybody said but I think it was in French. No subtitles. And I watched the whole thing. Just discovered I watched Banlieue 13, the French language version. Damned internet movies, never know what'cha gonna get.

The ones I can remember without taking any Ginkgo Biloba for a week:

- Pirates of the Caribbean (each one had a foot chase scene if I am not mistaken but the one where cannibals were chasing was very amusing).
- Alien 3 (arguably the worst of the series but had a bad.ss multiple chase scenes at the end)
- Terminator (how could you forget one of the freakiest foot chase in the original?)
- Planet of the Apes
- Pitch Black
- No Escape
- Ding Dong ..err, I mean King Kong
- The Wolf
- The Prophecy
- Jurassic Park
- Shaun of the Dead (it was a good one admit it)
- 28 Days (pretty much any freaking zombie movie I guess)
- Remo Williams (he could run on wet cement and his sensei could run on water....'nuff said!)

Default Point break!

Chase through the yards and homes of beautiful California..Swayze throws a dog at Keaunu to slow him down! That scene was cool.

Bloodsport also..Agents chasing Van Damme through the city in the middle of the film.
