I just went to that site, and entered the names of eight pictures that I've seen on cable movie packages, produced between 2000 and 2008, which I've rated 10 on IMDB. Only one of them was listed there as available.

The simple fact is that the number of movies on their listings that I would enjoy watching is very close to zero. I'd have a better chance of finding them on YouTube, where I've actually re-watched three of the eight. If the OP is anything to go by, I wouldn't even find any of those movies on NetFlix, except by mail in CD format.

There are no indies, no foreign films, nothing but the mountains of junk that Hollywood cranks out on an hourly basis. If all I want to see is that crap, I can just stick with my Encore subscription that my cable company gives me as a freebie.

I've found lots of good indies and foreign films on Netflix, but the thing that bothers me is that you can't watch them the same way you watch a dvd.

What I mean is there are no special features, and I can't pause or add subtitles or anything like that. (I sometimes use subtitles even if the film is in English.)

I think streaming is the way of the future, but it certainly has not yet been perfected.

Default Northern Exposure? Really?

I was all set to buy Northern Exposure from Amazon, and now I read that Playon has seasons 1 through 6. Is this really true? I just bought a Roku and am deciding what to buy, Netflix, Playon, or Hulu. With Playon, it sounds like my decision has been made for me!
