Good article. The production companies are the true pirates, jacking movie prices into the stratosphere.

They deserve to have films illegally pirated.

They can charge what they like. I wouldn't go into one of those nasty buildings to watch ANYBODY's movie. Those places are filthy. Nasty filthy.

I'll wait til it hits broadcast TV to watch before I'll go to one of those nasty theaters. Or at least Turner Classics, but that'll be a pretty long time. Maybe Netflix or Hulu where I can watch movies all day, all month long for $7.99.

So, there's a solution to piracy. Put first run movies on pay for view streaming. No overhead. I'd pay the five bucks.

And parents wonder where their kids pick up those germs. Certainly not from the ticket stub.

Why pay for something when you can get it for free?
Why sit in a crowded theatre with people talking or playing with their phones when you can enjoy it in your own home?

Yep, I rent movies out of the machine for a buck......and that is overpaying for most of the CR*P they put out today.
